What is internetLABOR.com and is it a legitimate company?
InternetLABOR.com is a start-up company that matches sub-contractor skills to the needs of clients, virtually. It is not a scam company. You do not have to pay anything to sign up.
What if I was referred by an employment agency?
Although you were referred by an employment agency, you would be working for yourself and directly with internetLABOR.com. Therefore, you would be submitting your own invoices directly and getting paid by internetLABOR.com, not by the referring employment agency.
Does geographical location matter?
No, that is the beauty of working virtually. But if you have technology issues that will keep you from working, or language barriers, we’d like to know up front so we can work with you more closely.
What’s the next step after I have submitted my application?
InternetLABOR.com is gaining tremendous popularity within the internet community and as such, we might hold large virtual job fairs to see who is really ready. Even if you are invited to join the team, it does not guarantee you will PASS everything and if you do PASS, it does not mean that you will start work and have tons of projects right off the bat. A congratulatory email will be sent extending an invitation to join our team for those we choose to invite. It will contain further instructions regarding formal paper work as well as instructions on taking any tests.
If I take that test, how and when will I know if I pass?
An email will be sent to you.
What if I can work more hours than I initially stated on my application?
Once hired, keep your project manager informed of any/all changes that may occur. How long does it take to be assigned projects/tasks and how do projects/tasks get assigned? It can be overnight or it can take months. Projects/tasks are assigned on an as-needed basis per our clients’ requests and we use Project Management software over the internet to hand out projects and track your billable time.
Why am I not getting a lot of work?
Maybe you stink. Just kidding. We do not promise you overnight full-time work so you can tell your boss to jump in a lake on Monday. Working with internetLABOR.com starts out slow. Once we get to know our sub-contractors and their working styles, we can better match their skills to our current clients needs.
Do I have to have Instant Messenger to work for internetLABOR.com?
No, but this is the best way to communicate throughout the day/night. It’s free and you can get Trillian or Digsby to manage YAH, AIM and MSN all in one place.
Why do I need to supply my social security number?
Because we live in a country that requires taxes to be paid. InternetLABOR.com keeps all your information private and secure. We use your social security number for tax reporting only. May we suggest that if you are uncomfortable giving out your social security number you obtain an EIN #, which is located on the IRS website?
How do I get paid?
You can indicate either 1. Check in the mail or 2. PayPal at the bottom of your invoice to us.
When do I get paid?
InternetLABOR.com pays their sub-contractors bi-weekly and on time.
How much do I get paid?
There is a place on the application for your hourly rate.
